Summary
In the fighting pits, Rik earned the title of Champion at the cost of executing Icarus before the roaring crowd, and was welcomed by Tlincalli to his personal den for celebrations. Back in the cage, grief sent Gearsley spiraling, but Ouraeus stayed calm — with a hand that melted into serpents he snatched the keys from a guard, revealing to Wild Fury that he is the last of the Medji-Tzentak, waiting for the moment to strike.
Death proved merely a suggestion for Icarus. After declaring himself an "Immortal God" in the void, he was stitched back together in the refuse heap — reborn as a hulking half-orc with shocking pink hair — and proved his identity to a skeptical Wild Fury with a very specific dietary confession.
The escape bled into a high-speed battle on wheels: Wild Fury cleared the path with a magical suggestion, Gearsley hot-wired the getaway vehicle, and Icarus screamed his divinity while unleashing a Fireball to cover Rik's retrieval. The Itju-Sha gave chase with "The Harpoon" and "The Pig" — Icarus incinerated the Harpoon, and Ouraeus summoned spectral fangs to tear through the Pig. The Boner Bros drove their stolen rust-bucket into the setting sun, battered but free.
