In short: The Mage Guard comes for Dave, the party crashes onto Mintan, and Koa reveals the truth about the Sovereign Prophet.
Summary
After a desperate three-day flight from the Sovereign Prophet, the exhausted party was lost over the Sea of Swords. They shared their personal quests: Icarus's "rehabilitation" from eating birds, Rik's search for a cure for his cursed wife Marisya at the Tomb of Tzentak, and Wild Fury's hunt for a missing guildmate.
The Mage Guard interrupted, accusing them of violating the Draconic Containment Accord and demanding they surrender Dave for "sanitization" or be branded "collaborators in contamination." Refusing, the party tricked the guards, used the guards' own banishing box to save Dave, and escaped through a portal — crashing onto the island of Mintan, where a monstrous Ankheg erupted from the sand and killed one of their pursuers. With the help of a tusked warrior named Koa, they defeated the beast and the remaining guards.
Over a campfire feast of Ankheg meat, unsettling whispers of "pieces of six" echoed from the trees. Koa revealed the chilling truth: the Prophet was once his friend — a prince twisted by an amulet from the Devourer, a god of the Dark Six. Koa, in hiding, asked them to investigate the whispers and warned they too were now marked by The Great Devourer.
Venturing into the jungle, the party fought through powerful personalized hallucinations before discovering the whispers' source: a teleporting parrot once owned by Captain Siren Shellsword (Polly). The visions, they realized, came from the tainted Ankheg meat.
