Overview

An obsidian amulet of The Great Devourer. It rots ordinary bearers into necrotic husks — black rot consumed Riptide — but in Blackjack it found a vessel: it beats in synchronicity with his heart, making him the Shepherd.

Chain of Custody

1. The Traveler → Riptide (dark pact, before Session 1).
2. Riptide → taken amid the events around Sauriv's domination (Session 3).
3. Blackjack — current bearer (Session 3–present).

The Hunt

The Sovereign Prophet demands the thief be delivered to him — and gave Icarus one lunar cycle to do it (Session 6). A matching amulet corrupted the Prophet himself, once a prince (Session 5).
